On Wednesday, May 7, the third annual event took place on Charles Square in Kolín. Next Step Fest, a festival of learning and job opportunitiesorganized by our school. This year the event was held in cooperation with students from the Cologne Majáles. The student event was rocked by the singer-songwriter Michal Horák with band, energetic pianist Young Jerry Lee or a pop-rap group ATMO music.
The opening ceremony together with the students of Majáles a Digtal Academy representatives headed by Director Mrs. Maria Václavíková were also attended by Mr. Mayor Michael Kašpar with Mrs. Deputy Mayor Iveta Mikšíková.
Schools, employers, musicians and especially students
High schools and universities from Kolín and the surrounding region, as well as some companies offering jobs to graduates, set up their stands on the square. Of course, the organizing Digital Academy - Business Academy Kutná Hora was not missing, among others there were Gymnasium Kolín, Gymnasium Jiří Orten from Kutná Hora, Charles University or University of Pardubice.
There was also delicious food, a Kahoot competition for a wireless speaker and a packed music programme. It was opened by student Lucie Nosková accompanying herself on the piano, followed by the energetic pianist Young Jerry Lee, then the well-known singer-songwriter Michal Horák with his backing band, the student band Rámus and the event was closed by the well-known pop-rap group ATMO music.
Many visitors across generations came to the event and had a great time!
Come to Next Step Fest 2025 in Kutná Hora! Free entry
This year's Next Step Fest 2025 will take place 10 June 2025 from 9 am to 4 pm in Kutná Hora (TJ Sokol, Tyršova). Admission is free. Performers Young Jerry Lee, ATMO Music and Jakub Děkan will play. There will be competitions for students, presentations by high schools, colleges and exhibiting companies. Great food and drink will be available for purchase.
