From 5 to 8 February we had the honour to host 2 teachers and 10 students from the HBSZ school in Szombathely, Hungary. The visit we had been looking forward to since our last trip to them a few months ago was now upon us. The whole exchange program was a success and all students and teachers rated the experience as very positive.

During these days, we explored the ancient streets of Kutná Hora together, visited the modern art museum GASK and joined the teaching at the Dahora School, where we observed and taught business and language subjects ourselves. We couldn't forget the sports day, which was full of fun and activities. In the evenings, students spent their time in a friendly family environment or on trips around Prague. Teachers shared with each other their experiences and methods to improve teaching, including the use of artificial intelligence, modern language websites and classroom behaviour management.

Our students engaged in a discussion on Padlet where they shared their impressions and photos, in a diary form. Overall, it was a wonderful and meaningful experience that we would like to repeat next year.

School exchange program with Hungary

From the 5th to the 8th of February we had the pleasure of hosting 2 teachers and 10 students from the school HBSZ in Szombathely, Hungary. We visited them a few months ago and now it was our turn. The whole exchange program was successful and all students and teachers evaluated the experience as very positive. During those days our guests enjoyed a varied cultural program, including sightseeing Kutná Hora old town, visiting the GASK modern art museum, and participating in and observing lessons at Dahora School in business and language subjects.

Besides we organized a sports competition day where everyone was quite active. The students had free time in the evenings with families and hosters to enjoy the atmosphere of Praha city or different amusing plans. Last but not least, teachers were sharing resources and methodology to improve their practical lesson delivery, including how to use AI for teaching, Modern Foreign Language Learning webs, resources and techniques, managing behavior in the classroom, etc.

Students uploaded comments, and pictures and participated in a learning padlet blog (link below) where they had to reflect and describe, like in a diary, their visit, activities, and experiences. They will be evaluated on that, so there was a clear outcome assessable.

All in all, it was a beautiful and meaningful experience we wish to repeat next year.
